FLOOD STILL WRECKING HAVOC IN BAYELSA STATE

A friend in Bayelsa said flood has continued to wreak havoc, it washed up several corpses at the Azikoro Government Cemetery in Yenagoa, I watched the news on Channels TV where residents said they saw coffins and corpses floating about raising health concerns due to the offensive odour in the neighbourhoods. The flood has displaced many residents, the electricity company in the state has shut down power supply to prevent electrocution.
As it stands now Residents can not leave Bayelsa state by road neither can vehicles come into Bayelsa, the road has been cut off completely.
It is a dire situation that requires urgent government intervention, there is the fear of a serious health crises especially as many hospitals are closed.
